SATORI STUDIO
Satori Studio was created by producer, engineer, writer, and multi-instrumentalist Nate Young, whose lifelong connection to music began at a young age. After a few years of piano lessons, he was writing his own melodies and experimenting with his father's Tascam Portastudio and vintage recording equipment. By high school, he had bought his own small recording rig and Pro Tools system, beginning a path that has continued through decades of songwriting, production, recording, sound design, and mixing.
Nate has worked with artists, clients, and projects across a wide range of genres and formats, including Cain Culto, Jenn Blosil, Willow Knox, Imagine Dragons, Position Music, Hive Music, The Last Descent — winner of the 2017 Utah Film Award for Best Sound Design — The Watching, Pink Skies, Xiuhtezcatl, Spirit City, Late For What, Taylor Miranda, TREN, Ryan Shupe & The Rubberband, Beck Brothers, Eliza Smith, HIJACK, McCovey, Bloom & The Bliss, and Ollie Chanin.
After moving to the Yucatán Peninsula in 2023, Nate set out to build a world-class recording and music production studio from the ground up. Designed by renowned acoustician John Brandt and meticulously built to his specifications, Satori Studio was created as a welcoming, inspiring space for musicians, artists, producers, and anyone passionate about music and audio.
We are excited to celebrate our grand opening on September 4, 2026, and invite you to request an invitation, or reach out directly to visit the studio or book a session.
